Messe Frankfurt is one of the most successful global players in its sector and, with sales of around €733* million, is the largest trade fair company with its own exhibition grounds. Within the framework of its Fairs & Events, Locations and Services business fields, the company focuses firmly on its customers’ interests, creating successful platforms for interaction with services from a single source. As a reliable partner to individual industry sectors, Messe Frankfurt creates innovative network platforms. Approximate five million visitors came together at more than 420* events held under the Messe Frankfurt umbrella worldwide in 2019. Every year, it organises some 150 trade fairs in Frankfurt and at many other locations around the world while also playing host to around some 250* guest events at its Frankfurt base.
From a medieval marketplace to global trade fair partner
Frankfurt has been a renowned trade fair site for more than 800 years. Back then, merchants and businessmen met at the “Römer”, a medieval building in the heart of the city that served as a market place; from 1909 onwards, they came together on the grounds of the new Festhalle.

Since 1949, Messe Frankfurt has been an established partner for some 250* guest events per year at its Frankfurt base. With its unmistakable architecture and highly functional and flexible halls and conference facilities, the Frankfurt exhibition grounds is the ideal location for all kinds of event formats. At the same time, Messe Frankfurt is a strong service partner, providing individual consulting and services and one of the most state-of-the-art infrastructures of any trade fair worldwide.
Frankfurt trade fair trio makes for an optimistic outlook
The Frankfurt consumer goods fairs Christmasworld, Paperworld, and Creativeworld have started the new business season with relevant industry topics. 3,051 exhibitors from 74 countries1 presented their new products for decoration, festive décor, paper, office supplies, and stationery, as well as hobby, crafts and artists' requisites to the national and international trade.
Quality over quantity: anniversary edition of Heimtextil sets the themes for the new furnishing season
With a content-driven programme, the 50th edition of Heimtextil delivered strong impetus for the start of the new furnishing season. Sustainability was placed firmly at top of the agenda, outshining all other topics. 63,000 visitors gathered information about the major themes dominating the international industry from 2,952 exhibitors at the world's leading trade fair for home and contract textiles. As expected, the unusually early date led to a drop in visitor numbers.*
