Light + Building Autumn Edition 2022: Business is made between people
Electrification and digitalisation offer enormous potential for saving around 40 percent of energy in the building sector. Solutions were presented by the 1,531 exhibitors from 46 countries at the Light + Building Autumn Edition in Frankfurt am Main. The special edition came at just the right time to present solutions for the current challenges. The world's leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology has proven its relevance as an international meeting place for the sector.
A strong show: the international automotive aftermarket is back in Frankfurt
The turning point has been reached: Automechanika Frankfurt’s new formats and extensive programme were very well received by international automotive professionals. 78.000 visitors from 175 countries came to the industry’s leading platform in Frankfurt to experience products and services from workshops, industry and retail live and in person. In fact, these past five days are the fullest the exhibition grounds have been since the restart in Frankfurt.
Messe Frankfurt restructures its senior management team in Greater China
To provide the expertise and agility needed to respond to developments in the fast-changing Greater China market, global exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt has today announced a restructuring of its board level leadership across its subsidiaries in the region. The reorganisation will see senior management from four of the company’s Greater China subsidiaries play a more active role in steering the company in the region, with each bringing a combination of new knowledge, international perspectives and the local understanding needed to deal with challenges such as the pandemic.
Trade fair activity is recovering in Frankfurt – the historic home of the exhibition
With a history in the exhibition industry stretching back some 800 years, the city of Frankfurt is accustomed to dealing with disruptions. In fact, the current pandemic joins a long list of historic events to afflict trade fair activity in the city during this time. For exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt, Q2 of this year marked the end of the most recent interruption. After a break of more than two years, the company has made a successful return to its business in Frankfurt, with five of the company’s flagship events bringing together around 3,450 exhibitors and 133,000 visitors from 129 countries and regions for the first time since the pandemic began.
Sustainability drives sales: Messe Frankfurt aiming for €400 million
Messe Frankfurt is back on the international trade fair stage, including at its Frankfurt base. Since April, we have been able to hold events without any restrictions whatsoever. In spite of the difficult economic situation in financial years 2020 and 2021 owing to the pandemic, the company continued to invest and took important strategic decisions for its future. In addition to digitalisation, Messe Frankfurt is working to make its business practices even more sustainable.
